A COOK COUNTY ADVENTURE…

While not strictly Gunflint Trail, this particular work is inspired by my adventures on the Superior Hiking Trail this summer, completing the first 54 miles from the Canadian Border to Pincushion Mtn near Grand Marais. On the first rainy day, I pulled out my reference photo of this scenic location just south of Caribou Pond on the SHT. I love how many colors of grass are illuminated by the beautiful morning light! This is part of my Superior Hiking Trail Series, and has been completed here at the Gunflint Trail Residency.
